elective affinities: Edmund de Waal at the Frick Collection, produced in conjunction with a site-specific exhibition presented at the Frick. De Waal’s pieces in porcelain, gold, steel, marble and alabaster were installed throughout the galleries, poised in lyrical dialogue with the permanent collection. The book’s design employs a multi, narrow column grid, reflecting the slender ceramics, while the works vitrines are very subtly bowed to with clear gloss varnish borders. A special edition with gilded edges was produced with a signed letterpress colophon.
